This clip shows Nora Connolly O’Brien being interviewed into camera and movingly describing her final visit to her father James Connolly who was incarcerated by the British forces following an unsuccessful uprising at Easter 1916.The series ‘On Behalf of the Provisional Government’ was broadcast in 1966 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the uprising.
